something’s cooking…

Well, I am so excited to kinda sorta tell you some exciting news…

At the beginning of the year, Joy and I committed to prayer for 6 weeks for some direction for our little blog.  Six weeks turned into twelve weeks…  And 12 weeks turned in to Mission Mondays!  Over and over we felt like God was encouraging us to share our hearts for missions.  In this crazy world we live in, we tend to get wrapped up in ourselves…  Putting too much emphasis on serving ourselves instead of serving others.  We wanted to encourage one another along with our families to understand what it meant to be mission minded.  In doing so, we hoped that we could share and you too would be encouraged to be more Christ-like through servant hood.  From the beginning, as we talked on the phone while quietly  rocking our babies to sleep, we hoped for  ways to share our faith with others through the stories of our everyday life.  We prayed that as we sat at home and conquered the world through dirty diapers and spilt milk, we could be relevant for His Kingdom.  This has been such an adventure and it’s so exciting to see what God has shown us over the years.  We look forward to the things He has in store for the future!

Joy was in town this last week and we had loads of fun catching up and spending a little time together.  We weren’t able to make our usual zoo trip with the kiddos, but were able to round up an animal for fun and giggles…

{they found the largest praying mantis we had EVER seen}

{this of course, made the evening even crazier more fun ~ don’t ask me what they are doing…}

While the big kids roamed the woods, having a blast and parkin’-it with My Man, the little ones managed to not kill each other and have a pretty good time too!  No pic of them… couldn’t herd ‘em together long enough.

We are so excited to be working on a little opportunity we fill God has given us to again share our faith and most importantly spread His WORD!  To say we are super pumped would be an understatement!  Emily is joining us bringing her heart and her desire to draw closer to Him.  God too has sparked a flame within her to become more mission minded.  We  gathered around my table talking about the possibilities ahead…   We had lots of fun, talking, planing, laughing…  There is something to be said about gals gathering together for HIS glory!  Our desire  is to just be used by Him.  Wanting to become a servant like Christ, has opened my eyes.  When you pray for God to break your heart for the things that break His~ be prepared to be made new.  I thank God for this journey.  He is showing me things almost too much for my mind to bear.  It’s scary and exciting all balled up together.  SO, stay tuned…

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  If you are in my neck of the woods…  Our church is celebrating 70 years!!!  Stop by Saturday and Sunday for an awesome time of fellowship and worship!  We would love to have you and your family!

Looking forward to sharing more on our project!!!!  We are praying that God makes those three gals in the picture above true Word Warriors!  We are seeking Him with our whole heart…  we HOPE you will join us!!

XOXO,

Natalie
