So, I gotta share a GREAT little craft with you guys…  it’s cheap and your kids will love it!!!

On Wednesday nights once a month in our Children’s church {that was a mouth full}, we have CrAfT NiGHt for the kiddos!!  Yoohoo!!  And my bestie was put in charge of this little event.  I thought I was one crafting Momma, but Pinterest has turned her into one CRAZY  crafting woman!  Since she is covered up in cake pops and crockpots {another story} this week, she asked me to come up with a craft for this week.

So, after searching over old magazine clippings, googling and Pinterest, I came across this little craft..

Last night, waiting for them to melt…  I was 7 years old and LOVING it!  I mean, who didn’t LOVE shrink dinks?  This little craft was so fun and SO COOL!  The kids loved it as much as I did…  The guys used them as mini-frisbee-throwing-thingys and the girls wore them as a necklace.

For the kiddos, I added a little something extra…  I shared with them  17 ”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV

I used the old Solo cup as my example of something old and by adding to it/drawing {a verse, something pretty, their name} and then heating it…  it changed into something really cool.  The same is with God…  we have this old body, old ways, old life and then we add Christ and after a little heat…  VOILA’   something NEW is created, something REALLY COOL!

I’ve learned with kids, you gotta try to put it out there…  they hear more than you think!

If you are looking for a little rainy day craft or something to impress you kiddos with for literally nothing{$$} this is an easy and fun craft.  Let us know if you try it out!
