Writing On The Wall

Natalie has been after me for some time to get this post out there, so today I finally am sitting down and writing this for you guys.

Question:  Where do you pray?  Where do you spend the most time with God?

For a mom of three it’s pretty difficult sometimes to find some alone, quiet time.  I have found what works best for me is….my shower.  Snicker if you must, but that’s where I can just be alone and really talk things out with God.

A few years back a friend of mine here in Louisville, Heather O’Connor,  let me in on a little secret of hers.  Not only did she pray in the shower also, but she wrote her prayer request, Bible verses, and what God had spoken to her about all in her shower.  She used bath tub crayons..BRILLIANT!

So I went out that day and bought some and started writing on my shower walls as well.  There you will find my prayer request.  So everyday when I shower (hopefully everyday) I see my list and pray over it.  It really has helped me!

Some may find this silly, but it serves a purpose for me and I LOVE IT!

This is great! And don’t forget the picture-prayer books you told us about–they’ve been invaluable to us, especially the kids! I even started my neices and nephews prayer books for Christmas last year.

Wow…going to pick up some today! That way Glenn will see my list as well and know my concerns for those around us! Also, I find myself praying alot while I’m driving. I talk to God alot in the car, not just about the wreckless people around me, but about everything! I especially like the drive from here to Oak Grove when I drive down 269 and see all of God’s wonderful works. God is good and we are blessed way beyond what we deserve. Over the last few months, I have learned how special his gifts are and that we can not take earthly things for granted, love your family dearly everyday and most important never forget that God is still in control and walks, correction carries us through every step. Love this site and look forward to seeing God work through this site!
